Renewed Vigor

How working through resistance of ongoing tasks is much harder than starting new ones

Often, renewed vigor is not what you need. The kind you have at the end of a decadent trip. A fresh mind and a desire to take on the world.

To me, this dose of momentum actually translates to a strong inclination to kickoff new things, useful and useless.

When what I should be doing, or what is more needed is a redoubled commitment to pick up the thorny, knotty, gnarled threads of everyday life that chip away at attention piece by piece.

I feel like a piece of fertile land, all ready to sprout ideas into mighty oaks. Instead, I want to feel like a sheer granite cliff, at which the pickaxes of everyday tasks rattle rattle rattle away.

All this is to say, I don’t want to do the boring, everyday stuff that’s stuck on some or the other uninteresting thing.

I want to start new things.

I should write about specifics. Otherwise, this is useless.

If it resonated, you know what to do.
