Life In Plain Sight

173 words1 min read

There's your soul to nurture and your laundry to clean.

Life is made up of many things. There’s your soul to nurture and your laundry to clean. Often together, on a rainy Thursday no less.

On your way to the fourth cup of coffee, you’re more likely to trip over that pile of clothes than to entangle in that knot in the soul.

Naturally, it’s the laundry that takes priority. Then the dishes. Then the dust on the shelves and the webs on the ceiling and, if you’re feeling adventurous, the Downloads folder on your Mac.

You’re a fit, well-balanced person who goes running and goes to the office and has a night routine and it’s Saturday and the three sets of clothes you’ve been shedding everyday have decided they’re now a new pile of laundry.

Already?

So you pay the dues you must. You do your dishes and you do your laundry and you clip your nails and you remember to get a haircut.

It doesn’t rain as much anymore. The nights are longer and the days are colder. It’s Winter!

Already?

If it resonated, you know what to do.
